From all the different existent methods for achieving your successful weight loss goals, the worst one of them all is by following a starving diet. Starving diets basically consist on taking away mostly everything you could possibly imagine when it comes to meals, and people who follow these sorts of diets often find themselves in a situation where, even if they are losing weight gradually, they are also losing their strength, happiness and comfort.

A starving weight loss diet is really bad for your health as well, not only because your body will not get enough nutrients to make it through each day, but also because (due to this same nutrients restriction process) your body will fiercely fight to cling on to the last gram of fat that you have, which means that you will not see results until you are truly at the verge of getting real sick.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots - The Perfect Exercise Routine Exploited

Everyone sometimes needs a little bit of a change. Whether it is a new job, car, or wardrobe there is always something that everyone wants to change about themselves. Well it should be no surprise to you that when you work out you have to change them out because if you don't then you will be getting nothing out of it. So it is always good to make sure that you change your workout every week.

So that is why now I have three new exercises that I like to do at the gym rowing, abs, and the stairs.

The first exercise that I like to do when I am at the gym is rowing because this is a great cardiovascular exercise to get your blood flow in. You first go to the rowing machine than lean over and get the bar then bend your legs and pull on the bar to towards you chest.

This will really get your blood circulating throughout your body and you should have no problem with breathing. Also this machine is great because while you are pulling you will be feeling the breeze from the fan that is in the machine and it feels so good.

Another exercise that I like to do when I go to the gym is abs because there are a bunch of great exercises that you can use to work out your abs. I like the one when you put the weight on then sit in the chair and put your arms on a bar and move your body down towards the ground.

Also the machine when you sit down put your hands on these to bars and then swing your feet from side to side working out you abs that you have on the sides. Working out your abs will make people be like wow you look like you lost so much weight.

One more exercise that I like to do when I go to the gym is the stairs because it work out your lower body so good. It works out pretty much all of the muscles that you have in your legs like the calves, hamstrings, quadriceps, and your butt.

So those are the new exercises that I like to do throughout the week. Also remember that it is always good to change and don't shy away from it because if you do you will never get what you dream of.

So, I decided that I would like to share my real weight loss success story with you. My hope is that it will help motivate you on your path to weight loss, or give you the push you need to commence your own weight loss program.

For me, it all started years ago. I would diet all the time. I would see some weight come off, feel good about myself, start eating normally again and pile all the weight back on. Every diet I went on would follow this pattern. I was your classic yo-yo dieter.

A few months ago I decided enough was enough and I was going to get rid of my yo-yo habit (I kicked cigarettes years ago, so I was sure I could kick another addiction!). I commenced a new program. This program would involve eating normally. This program would not involve starvation and eventual relapse. This program would involve some exercise. I planned to not only lose weight, but become healthy. I would target weight from fat, not weight from water.

I picked up a copy of a commercially available weight loss and (more importantly) weight control program.

The essence of the program is as follows:

1. Rather than eating three meals a day, change your habits and space your meals out to six per day.

2. Do some light exercise.

There are some things you need to calculate at first and some other things you need to measure, but basically that's it!

Using this program I have managed to lose about 20 pounds in two months. I am now a shadow of my former self. Importantly, I lost this weight without going hungry. As for maintenance, there's nothing to change-- I am eating more than enough food with more than enough variety and I can have a binge when I like.

    Why a Program of Moderate and Healthy Weight Loss Can Extend Your Life

    All medical studies that I am aware of show that being extremely overweight or obese causes a host of medical problems and greatly reduces your life span. When it comes to the medical benefits of moderate healthy weight loss, however, there appears to be many different opinions. Some claim that being mildly overweight does tax the body and therefore does affect life span. Others claim that that there are no medical issues with being moderately overweight, and that there may actually be benefits to having a little bit of extra fat around your middle. Which to believe?

    Although it would be nice to believe that being a little overweight does not have any serious medical consequences, the reality is something different. At least, that is what JoAnn Manson, an MD at the Harvard School of Public Health concluded. She reviewed 25 major studies dealing with the effects of obesity on health, and concluded that being mildly overweight does indeed tax the body. She found that those studies that purported to demonstrate that there was nothing detrimental about being a little overweight were guilty of 3 biases. Here is what she found.

    Some studies found that the risk of death was the highest among the thinnest members of the population. The problem with this is that many of these studies didn't take into account that most of this thin people who were dying were smokers. The fact of the matter is that smoking does boost your metabolic rate and it does interfere with your calorie storage. However, these mild benefits are more than offset by the fact that smoking kills you. So, being skinny didn't cause the high mortality rate in these studies, smoking was the cause.

    There was another problem with the studies that found that thin people had a higher mortality rate than those who were mildly overweight. This was the fact that when people get sick with a serious illness, they typically lose a lot of weight. For example, someone with cancer might be undergoing chemotherapy and therefore can't eat. In this case, being thin was a harbinger of an early death, not the cause.

    The third bias that some of these studies showed was in being too zealous in weeding out factors in an attempt to fairly compare the lean and overweight groups. For example, individuals who had high blood pressure, diabetes, or high blood fat levels would not be included in the analyzed sample groups. The problem with this is that being overweight is often a leading cause of these health issues. Not including them in the samples significantly reduced the risks of premature death from being overweight.

    So, once JoAnn had gone through the numbers again taking into account the above 3 factors, what did she find? What she learned was that being mildly or moderately overweight DOES tax your body and DOES SIGNIFICANTLY reduce your life expectancy. She found that the risk of death within 26 years increases by 2 percent for each extra pound between the ages of 50 and 62. It increases by 1 percent for those who are between 30 and 49. Put another way, if you are 50 pounds overweight, you are 50 to 100 percent more likely to die in the next 26 years. You are at twice the risk of dying as someone who is at their ideal weight, and you will lose between 5 and 10 years of your life. From this, we can safely conclude that there are serious benefits to maintaining a healthy weight, or embarking on a healthy weight loss plan if needed.

I decided to contact a number of practitioners in various parts of the world and ask them if, when treating patients for other ailments using oxygen therapies, weight loss was ever seen as a side-effect of their treatment.

    All the doctors who replied responded that no such weight loss factor has ever been observed that they could credit to the oxygen therapy itself, and not the condition they were treating.

    It seems that empirical evidence to support the theory that oxygen therapy could reduce body fat into the easily excreted H2O and CO2 is lacking.

    Still, not everyone is convinced. The chemistry appears fine on paper, so something is missing in the implementation. Finding that missing factor could be crucial in the battle of the bulge, the quest for weight loss, and conquering obesity.

It is quite reasonable to assume that the people who are disciplined enough to follow this breathing technique diligently for several weeks or months are probably motivated enough to also be doing other things (dietary, psychologically, etc.) that will be causing the weight loss.

    Still, it fits the basic (unproven) theory that adding oxygen to body fat should result in weight loss. Furthermore, it is harmless, so long as adequate dietary intake of antioxidant vitamins and minerals are being consumed. Whether the actual results are from the technique itself or of a more psychosomatic nature is immaterial if it works, is free and available to all, and has no adverse side effects.

    By all means, add these deep breathing exercises to your overall toolbox of synergistic weight loss treatments.

    Still, there is one more form of oxygen therapy (not usually recognized as such) that even the sceptics would have trouble disputing.

    It is more commonly called exercise. More accurately, aerobic exercise. (Aerobic simply means "air breathing".) It is exercise that makes you huff and puff, deepening your breathing. It is and always has been one of the most fundamental parts of any successful weight loss program.

    How To Break Through A Weight Loss Plateau...

    A few days ago, a customer asked me this question:

    "I eat healthfully, and exercise at least an hour every day, but I've been stuck at 146-150 for a while now. How can I get over this plateau and keep losing?"

    The older I get, I like to tell myself that I'm becoming smarter - or I may be just becoming lazier. In any case, I definitely don't work out that much. You can get great results without training that much. I was able to tolerate 1-hour workouts every day when I was 20 - but not anymore. I don't know you but there is a possibility that you are overtraining. The fact that you train for one hour a day tells me that you have a lot of zeal. Here are the questions you need to ask yourself so you get over the plateau:

    1) What type of exercise do you do each day? Is it only aerobic or do you do resistance training as well? If you are not doing resistance training, replace some of your exercise time (at least half) with resistance training. I'm convinced that "normal people" can achieve almost any weight management goal they have by training properly with weights for 40 minutes every other day. Get in there, do your exercises and then get out. You don't need to train more. You need to train smart. Get your weight training down. THEN you can add the aerobics if you want.

    2) If you ARE doing resistance training, are you getting stronger every workout? Yes or no? Can you lift more weight or do more reps with the same weight? Yes or no? If no, then you may be overtrained or maybe you are not eating enough protein or sleeping and resting properly.

    3) Did you measure your weight AND fat percentage before starting exercising? Where are you now? Did you lose weight? Was that fat? Or did you lose muscle? You can't improve what you can't measure. If you are losing muscle, you will just continue spinning your wheels.

    4) Exercising can get boring. And the body adjusts to the "same ol', same ol'" after a while. Try changing up your workout routine so you don't get bored.

    Remember to keep track of your progress. Measure your weight, fat and muscle once a week on an empty stomach in the morning. Know how you are progressing and "fail fast" if need be. If you see a week that you gained fat and lost muscle (it happens even in th e best families) try to readjust your plan. Don't make the mistake that many people make and that's following a plan that doesn't work FOR YEARS. This is called "failing in slow motion". You want fast results? Measure your progress then.

    If you keep an ultra strict diet for several days, then you can reward yourself by having a "free day" where you eat some of your favorites foods like pizza, cheesecake etc. Don't eat 10,000 calories, ok? But taking a break every now and then can really help you stay on track for the long term.

    You have much more control over your life that others would have you believe. Right now, you are overweight because of some very specific habits you have. Focus on those habits. As soon as you correct them, you will be able to start losing weight and fat and looking great.

    Forget who you have been all your life. Saying things like "I'm a fat boy" or "I look like a barrel" don't help you. Stay away from the victim mentality. Decide who you are going to be from this point on.

    Before you go to bed each night, spend just 5 minutes to plan the next day. What are you going to do at 8:00 AM? What at 10:25 AM? Note down your program. What will you eat? When will you exercise? This will allow you to "fly" through the next day much easier. Don't just wait for the next day to come and then just "react" to whatever comes your way. Remember: Failing to plan is planning to fail.

    Many people say "I can't do weight training (or exercise at all) because I'm in no physical condition to do so".
