5 Fast Weight Loss Tips

We all want to lose a bit of weight, and a change in diet and mental attitude towards food can really bring huge benefits in the long term. But what about when you want to lose weight quick! Maybe you have a wedding to go to, or you are going on holiday and need a beach body? Don't despair, follow these 5 fast weight loss tips and you can get yourself looking trim faster than ever, just be sure to also work on your long term techniques after the event so it doesn't come back!

Let's look at each one in turn:

Working out more - yes, I'm afraid there is some work involved in this one, if you are not exercising already then you need to start. You can't just jump into a vigorous routine though, if you are stretched for time then go for a one hour walk a day, non-stop, no stopping to talk to people along the way and wasting the hour, one hour of solid walking. This will start to have a dramatic effect when combined with the other fast weight loss tips.

If you are already exercising then you need to take it to the next level, either increase the intensity or the frequency of your workouts, maybe add a one hour walk onto the days where you don't go to the gym as well.

Eating breakfast - some people think that skipping meals will help them to lose weight, wrong! Skipping breakfast is the biggest mistake people make. When you wake up your body is conserving energy as it doesn't know if and when you will eat again. By eating breakfast you are telling it that food is available and your metabolism increases so you actually burn up more fat during the rest of the day.

Drink lots of water - water has lots of health benefits so we know we should drink it, but did you also know it is an appetite suppressant? If you are hungry you can drink water and it will fill you up so you are less hungry, try to drink about 8 glasses a day to get the best effects.

Eat lots of fibre - fibre fills you up just like water so that you feel less hungry and are less likely to snack. An added benefit is that it cleanses out your system so that you feel less bloated and stuffy and it gets rid of old waste in your system to help you feel better, when you feel better you are more likely to exercise!

Replace snacks - trying to cut down on snacking is actually counterintuitive, you need to have lots of small meals during the day rather than 3 large meals, so snacking is important. The problem is snacking on the wrong things.

If you try to stop snacking you will more than likely lose the battle with your willpower! You have to replace it so you get the psychological satisfaction of snacking but you are doing it in a healthy way. Try eating nuts & dried fruit during the day instead of chocolate.

If you follow these fast weight loss tips you will start to see rapid improvements in your energy levels and your body, keep it up until that event and then moderate it afterwards to make sure the weight stays off!

Weight Loss Tips - Surviving Holiday Parties

Weight Loss during the Holidays can present extra temptations with Holiday desserts, treats, and candy. If you have a sweet tooth, this can be times of high temptation. Here are a few suggestions for weight loss program survival to help you stay on track with your diet.

First and foremost EAT BEFORE the Party. Eat the foods that are within your dieting guidelines, and eat until you are full. Protein foods are a good choice as protein foods will generally hold off hunger for a longer period of time. And a good choice of a protein food before the party is a Soy Protein Smoothie to which you include a very generous amount of soy protein mix. Soy protein is known for staving off hunger. You may still be tempted at the party, but not nearly as much as you would be tempted on an empty stomach.

If the food offered at the party includes some protein foods such as fish, shrimp, or chicken these are good choices for party snacks.

Find a "chatty" person to keep you busy with your mind off the food. If you normally don't like chatty people, just keep telling yourself that they are saving you calories and keeping you on track, so enjoy that they are saving you putting all those calories in your mouth.

If there are games at the party or other forms of involvement, immerse yourself in these activities to avoid the food temptations.

When you leave the holiday gathering be sure to congratulate yourself for all those foods you avoided!

When talking about how to lose to lose weight - the first thing that comes to our mind will be to reduce the amount of foods we take everyday. However, that itself may not be the most ideal solution - as it will seriously affect your health if you do not do it the right way.

Here are 6 weight loss tips you may want to take note of when trying to lose some weight of yours:

1. Trimming Down in Calories Intake Drastically

Most people actually think that by simply reducing the amount of calorie intake will help bring down their weight. However, by doing so, you're putting your own health at risk - the reason is because by bringing down your calorie intake way below your body's required levels, your body will start digesting fats - this may sound a good thing - as your body is actually digesting off that ugly, disgusting-looking fat of yours that you want to get rid of. However, people do not realise that it requires lots of energy by your body to burn fats - and since your body does not have the energy level required to burn off these fats, your body will burn these fats at a very slow pace resulting in you experiencing fatigue, and also your body's immune system will be severely weakened.

Therefore, the correct way to go about doing this is to eat small meals but at more frequent intervals. By doing so, your body get the energy levels required and yet not store these food intakes as fats.

2. Eat The "Right" Foods

Eating the "right" foods is very important so that your body will be able to get enough nutrients it require every single day. Some of the foods you should consider eating from now on (if you are serious about reducing some weight) are those that are either roasted, steamed or broiled and stop eating those that are fried and junk foods!

3. Pump Up More Muscles!

Muscles burn calories round the clock - not only when they're at work, but also when they're at rest - this is the direct opposite of fats, where they simply bulge around our pants, dangle beneath our sleeves, making us look real ugly, and disgusting. We can take advantage of this fact by building more muscles in our body! By simply having more muscles, we'll be able to burn more calories and as such, we'll be able to reduce the amount of fat on our body.

4. Engage in Aerobics

By engaging in Aerobics is one good way to help increase your lean muscle mass and decrease your excess body fats at the same time. Not only that, it also helps to increase your cardio-vascular endurance, which is really good for your heart.

5. Smoking & Caffeine

Cut them out if you're serious about losing weight.
